Don't Fly Drones Over The Beach

This is a piece I wrote in collaboration with dancer and choreographer, Danika Sayce. The theme of her piece is a slow shift from light to dark with the light fading slowly so, by the time it gets to dark, the change is so gradual that it barely feels like it's there. 

The writing of this piece was fairly straightforward. I wrote it for a string ensemble and piano. I used one theme through the entire piece and progressively built on it as the piece got darker and darker. I added the effects of fireworks in the back to give a nice ambience to the piece so it didn't feel so empty during the opening section. The title is a working title gave by me and doesn't have anything to do with the actual story. Danika will give the piece her titles closer to it's plublishing

The piece will be used as part of a film within the next few months.
