Horns

Horns is a piece for flute, clarinet, alto, tenor and baritone sax, trumpet, 2 horns, 2 trombones, tuba and 2 percussionists. It's based on a simple theme. Each time the theme is repeated, it's modulated up to the next mode in the key. (Dorian to Phrygian to Lydian ect). The theme is embellished as the piece progresses towards the center and then is stripped back as the piece ends. 

This piece was performed at the Composer's Lunchtime Concert at WAAPA in 2013
